With thoughts of summer just around the corner, folks are poised to drop the winter glum and come lap up some tropical funky vibes and first rate musical goodness. Live music from 9.30pm.
‘Cover Up’ is Ginglik’s longest running club night for good reason. This month enjoy no less than 4 excellent live bands and guest DJs. The Fontanas getting double-funky in the place, inspiring waves and ripples of good-footing.
West Londoner Freddie Dickson performs with mesmerising effect. His tunes twang like Twin Peaks via urban London. Mix in his programmed beats with his soulful howl and you have something a bit special. Tonight he celebrates his return to home soil with a one off show.
Mesmerising angelic ambient tones abound with this electro outfit. Pop sensibilities criss-cross audio soundscapes with delicious vocal hooks. Tonight they perform a one off set at 930pm, so come down early for maximum musical upload.
Winston Surfshirt plays Sex Funk Soul on his lonesome through metallic Loop-Pedal Boxes to make the immediate public dance. Last time he played at Ginglik the crowd were left slack jawed and whooping for more music
The Fontanas serve up high-energy tunes from funky Brazilian samba-soul, to upbeat ska anthems. Regulars will tell you their live show delivers a shot of feel good factor, that gets audiences bouncing around like summer come early.
Has had a brief hiatus from Cover Up. With musical adventures across the Americas, he is back to bring it on for a big April night out. Turning it over and tickling the belly. Expect fresh new musical finds with version excursions and modern day classics.
