Expect the balls and the brass from the Balkans, surf-rock Mediterranean guitar lines, Arabic & Jewish melodies, massive bass-lines and a whole heap of electronics, scratching and beats. There will be brass, there will be kolo dancing, and there will be begging for more, we have a blast of a night in store for you!

    One of London’s finest exponents of Balkan Beats, described by TimeOut as Balkan Brass Funk, Gypsy Hill are a thrilling blast of fresh air in the dance scene, mashing up electronics with Balkan Melodies, brass riffs to die for and sheer energy! Gypsy Hill is the latest project to come from London DJs / producers: DJ Kobayashi and Herbert Newbert.
In the busy 2011, Gypsy Hill invited fans to shake their assess up and down the country at some of the UK’s biggest summer festivals such as The Big Chill, Bestival, Lovebox Weekend and a main stage slot at Shambala Festival.

    Resident DJ at Balkankan at Ginglik, and the Magic Garden, Battersea, she’s played at after parties for Boban & Marko Markovic, Fanfare Ciocarlia, Shantel & the Bucovina Orkestar, supported Orkestra del Sol, had guest appearances at Rumpus and Balkan Sonik. She is the original Balkan girl who will take you on a journey to the deepest south of the Balkans where the best Gypsy tunes come from, spinning the fastest brass in a mad Balkan house style!
